James Joyce lectures in Belgium

25-05-2009

Dr John McCourt, one of the world's leading experts on James Joyce, will give two talks on Joyce's life and works in Belgium next week. The first talk will take place at Passaporta (rue Antoine Dansaert 46, Brussels) on Monday 25 May at 19.30. The talk will focus on the European dimensions of Joyce's best known works, and explore the cosmopolitan nature of these, written during a life lived in various European melting pots - from Trieste to Zurich to Paris. The talk will be followed by a discussion. Entrance is free and tickets may be reserved by contacting the following e-mail address: sergio.vecchi@skynet

The second lecture will take place at 20:00 on Tuesday 26 May in the auditorium of the Irish College at Leuven (Paterdamiaanplein 7). Entrance is also free and tickets must be reserved by contacting the following e-mail address: reception@leuveninstitute.eu
